On December 22, 2006 two weeks had passed, and still, there was much talk going on about the “National Health Insurance Scheme (NHI)!” But, how many of these voices did we hear calling GOD’S children back to HIS “Worldwide Health Insurance Scheme (WHI)?” Someone, out of the many should know friends that it is because we have fallen away from GOD’S WHI Scheme we find ourselves sick with so many different types of diseases. When our Senators met last week to begin their debate on the NHI Bill, Dr. Nottage named some of these diseases, “High blood pressure, diabetes, strokes, cerebral vascular disease, and cardiac diseases. These diseases (he said) were not being addressed, the result of which was leading to the loss of the lives of many of our citizens in their most productive years, robbing Caribbean countries of the human resources that they need” he said. But how could this be? When in the Bahamas; we brag and boast about having the best Medical Doctors and Ministers of the Gospel, in the world. Second to none, they say! Surely friends, if “these diseases are not being address” someone is stealing, and they should be lockup. For the Bible says: “…the labourer is worthy of his hire…” LUKE 10:7. So then; are our Doctors ‘worthy of (their) hire?’ It is said that all Doctors are supposed to be: “qualified and licensed to give people medical treatment.” In other words, once the Doctor is qualified and licensed he or she should be paid, right? But how can we pay them when Dr Nottage said, these diseases are not being address! Or did he mean something else? Friend’s whether Dr. Nottage wants to believe it or not; he was right on target! After-all, Dr Nottage and the rest of our Medical professionals should know that, these diseases were not cause by US eating Nuts, Fruits, Grains, Vegetables, and Drinking Water, but because WE are eating and drinking those things which are forbidden by the word of GOD. In fact, it is not in the will of GOD that WE die form any of those diseases listed above, anyway! How about our Pastors; are they ‘worthy of (their) hire?’ “Even so hath the Lord ordained (says the Apostle Paul) that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.” 1 CORINTHIANS 9:14. I stand to be corrected here; but I did not hear, nor did I see, any Pastor who took a stand, on the side of the word of GOD! Could it be friends; their “…hearts… (have become) overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and (that the NHI scheme) came upon (them) unawares?” Or could it be, our Pastors too are not ‘endure sound doctrine’ anymore? Pastors are also call, to stand on the walls of Zion, and as they see the storms of life approaching, they are to give the ‘trumpet, a certain sound!’ But sadly; the ‘storms of diseases’ are blowing all around US, and not one word from those who are called too: “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” Surely friend; our Pastors should be arrested for ‘TREASON!’ For truly; they have betrayed their ‘SACRACED TRUST!’ Friends, you maybe saying that is a hard call! No friend, GOD calls it a sad call, sad because he said: “If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I [am] the LORD that healeth thee.” EXODUS 15:26 In light of these facts; why then are these Pastors, being paid? WHY? Then there are others who say: “there is no such thing as a perfect piece of legislation.” In other words, if the Government needs to call for an amendment, to add something or takeout something, form the NHI Bill, there’s room for that. It is Schemes like these that make some of US distrust the word of GOD. But David assures US: “The law (legislation) of the LORD [is] perfect…” PSALMS 19:7. Confirming this, Paul the Apostle penned these words: “In hope of eternal life, which ‘God, that cannot lie,’ promised before the world began” TITUS 1:2. That’s good-news! Whose report are you going to believe; my friend? The Government, The Doctors, The Pastors, Satan’s, or; THE LOVELY JESUS! It is up to YOU and ME, TO BELIEVE the GOOD-NEWS, BY-FAITH!
