MARLENE BEFORE MARLENE AFTER
You made the right choice by choosing to make permanent changes to your lifestyle in order to reach and maintain your weight –loss goal. This is no ordinary program. We are introducing you to a healthy, safe approach to not only lose weight, but also to lower your chances of acquiring degenerative diseases, such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes and much, much more. Keeping your weight under control, especially with a low fat, high fiber diet, definitely decrease your chances.
Changing your eating habits will help you lose that fat for good. Fat is fattening, fiber is your friend starchy plant foods fight flab while they fortify your health.
Many programs suggest you eat moderately of foods that cause harm or introduce illnesses to the body. We encourage you to eat abundantly of fruits and vegetables, moderately of grains and sparingly of nuts. These foods promote good health.
Do not be pressured by the people around you, who seem to have no self-discipline or will power. Display to them that you are strong and pray that God will see you through.
Do not allow the stress in your life to get you down and cause you to revert to eating. You’re bigger than that. Commit your eating habits to God; ask Him for strength and indeed He will see you through. Have faith that you can achieve your goal. Visualize yourself where you want to be and before you know it you will be there.
Anytime you feel like eating and you know it’s not time, find something to do. You can read a motivating book such as the Bible, exercise, go for a walk, call a friend who encourages you or watch health programs (Channel 57, 3ABN has excellent programs on health). Note: This advice does not take the place of a medical doctor’s advice.
I’d like to leave this thought with you, “Whatever you decide to do in life, be sure that the joy of doing it does not depend upon the applause of others, because in the long run we are, all of us, alone.” Charlotte Gray (1937) once said, “A lifetime is just long enough h to do something worth doing if you get going now.” So why not add years to your life by losing the weight.
