The topic DRESSED, R U?, is one, which every Pastor, Bishop, Elder, “Rev,” “Father,” Prophet, Prophetess, Deacon, and Church leader should be talking about from their church pulpit, and at their bible studies? If they haven’t; then why are they being paid from the “holy- tithes?” For the bible tells us: “Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which “preach the gospel” should “live of the gospel.” 1 CORINTHIANS 9:14. Friend’s, leaders of the church, are not only call to preach about GOD’S love, grace, mercy, longsuffering, and HIS forgiveness, but, they are also called to tell us about GOD’S wrath. Which will fall upon all who are guilty of breaking GOD’S, “moral law?” Can we honestly say; that today’s ministers are being faithful to their GOD given mandate? Which is to: “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” 2 TIMOTHY 4:2. If you said; yes. Then when last has your pastor or prophetess, reproved or rebuked the wives of the church, or his, or her daughters, or any of the ladies who are baptized members of the church, which belong to GOD? But you say it would be wrong to rebuke them openly. Are you sure? That’s not what the apostle Paul told Timothy, when he told him: “Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.”1 TIMOTHY 5:20. But you say, shouldn’t the principle laid down in MATTHEW 18:15-17, be followed first? If it were a private sin, YES! But, because these members are sinning openly, they should be, rebuked openly! In love! Because the bible text says: “Moreover if thy brother [or sister] shall trespass against thee, go and tell him [or her] their fault between thee and him [or her] alone…” There could only be few reasons why these women of the church are dressing the way, they do. 1. The pastors or leaders of the church have not been faithful in their job, as ministers of the gospel of JESUS CHRIST. 2. Or, the message did go forward but the women did not change their dress-code. 3. And if they did heard the message on dress and didn’t care to change their dress-code, then why were they baptized? WHY? Because the bible tells us: “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” ROMANS 6:3, 4. Even the dress-code of the Bahamas fox hill prison, are higher than that which seen in our churches today. Because, if any lady were to go to the prison dressed in a low cut blouse, low cut dress, high splits, short dress, short shirt, short pants, belly out, tight fitting clothes or see through clothes, they will not be allowed to enter the prison for a visit! And the GOD of heaven says, AMEN! Now, GOD wishes HE could say the same about all, which are apart of HIS church. It was the year, 1900, when these words were penned: “One of the points upon which those newly come to the faith will need instruction is the subject of dress. Let the new converts be faithfully dealt with. Are they vain in dress? Do they cherish pride of heart? The idolatry of dress is a moral disease. It must not be taken over into the new life. EVANGELISM, Pg.268. So, the question needs to be asked, were the ladies faithfully dealt with? If the answer is yes; then why are they holding office and taking active part in GOD’S church if they care not to dress right? WHY? Again the question needs asked, when “Christian women” and “some Christian men” are seen dressing in clothes that are not right, make-up on their face, ear-rings in their ears, rings on their fingers, why are they not rebuked. WHY? So today, if you are a Pastor, Bishop, Elder, “Rev,” “Father,” Prophet, Prophetess, Deacon, and Church leader, the time as come for you to “rebuke all sin” if not please stop stealing the “holy- tithes which is stamped with the blood of JESUS!
