Tornadoes! What! Yes friends, that was the cry on Thursday April 12, 2007 and phones started ringing, and e-mails were being sent all around town, and NASSUVIANS, were on the RUN! But, they were not alone. For, it was also reported that “many Bahamians, especially those in the northwest Bahamas, ‘flew into a state of panic’ after the Department of Meteorology issued a severe thunderstorm warning adding that the weather situation could create tornado activity.” Hence, many Business places closed early, and this creating a traffic backup, for many wanted to get too the safety, of their own homes. Truly, we are living in a time when: “…Men's hearts (are) failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth…” LUKE 21:26. In fact, one Lady who was interviewed about the freak storm which destroyed and damage several homes in North Andros, and Nassau the day before said: “we heard this big bolt of lightning and this big bang about three times… I didn’t know what to think, (she said,) I though it was ‘JUDGMENT DAY!” …I was just ‘frighten,’ she stated. But, it wasn’t Judgment day. Or was it? For whether YOU want to believe it or not: “WE ARE LIVING; IN THE JUDGMENT HOUR!” And the JUDGMENT is indeed going on, as “we live, and move, and have our beings.” For it is recorded in the Holy writ: “For the time [is come] that ‘JUDGMENT’ must begin at the house of God: (says Peter,) and if [it] first [begin] at US, (asks Peter) what shall the end [be] of ‘THEM that obey not the gospel of God?” 1 PETER 4:17. Then, under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, John the Revelator wrote: “…Fear (or, Reverence) God, and give glory to Him; for the ‘HOUR’ of His ‘IS JUDGMENT COME’: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” REVELATION 14:7. But, now that the warnings are lifted, and the severe weather has passed, WE are back too ‘business-as-usual.’ But, there’s a warning my friend, it is not ‘business-as-usual’ in the courts of heaven. For soon, the ‘JUDGMENT’ will be over, and for many, it will be for them like it was in the days of Noah and Lot. Therefore, everyday, we should ask ourselves; are we living the life which is of the standard of heaven? For soon, “…Michael (Jesus) will stand up…” and when He does, He will no-longer be sitting on the “…right hand of God…” DANIAL 12:1; ACTS 2:33. Then, all confessions of sin would have come, to-an-end. Then, if there’s any-sin in our lives, those SINS, or that SIN, would be ours to keep. Hence, it behooves each of us, to know, what it would take for US to get “From Earth; to Heaven!” NOW! For tomorrow, maybe, TOO LATE! Therefore, I’m amazed, of how many of us act as if we know what tomorrow holds. For many live, like they just don’t care. Could it be that, we have forgotten that over 6000 years ago: “there was ‘WAR (where?) In heaven:’ Michael (Jesus) and his angels fought against the dragon (Devil); and the dragon (Devil) fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: ‘he (the Devil) was cast out into the earth,’ and ‘his angels were cast out with him.” REVELATION 12:7-9. Today, many are being controlled by the Devil and his angels. But, we were forewarned, for Jesus said: “When the ‘unclean spirit’ is gone out of a MAN, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth [it] empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself ‘seven other spirits more wicked than himself,’ and they enter in and dwell there: and the ‘last [state] of that man is worse than the first.’ Even so shall it be also unto this ‘wicked generation.” MATTHEW 12:43-45. Sobering words, spoken by our Lord and Saviour. If it ever were a time that we must take-up reorganization in our lives, it’s now! Friends, if our names were to be EXAMINED in the courts of heaven today, how would we FARE? What SIN would be recorded there? For all it takes friends, is ONE-SIN! “For the wages of SIN [is] death.” What echoing words will we hear at the end of days? Would it be: “Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.” DANIEL 5:27. Or would it be: “Well done, good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” MATTHEW 25:21. Which one?
