TURNING POINT MINISTRIES

Today, as I continue to dig into the importance of what it would take for us to get “From Earth to Heaven,” I am “Deeply Sadden,” surely, I am not alone! Sadden because, our general elections has left many in a state of confusion, distress, pain and great division. Hence, emotions are still running high! Our general elections have left us in five difference categories, known as FNM’s, PLP’s, BDM’s, IND’s and those who do not vote. Friends, is this division among us a good thing? I dare not say yes! In fact, if you are one who is looking forward to the second coming of Jesus, I believe we should stay out of politics. In other words, we will not spend our time talking politics or acting politics. Instead, we will be known as people who only spoke words which were patenting to ‘eternal life.’ Only then, will we find ourselves walking in the footsteps of Jesus, and his disciples, who never partook in any political strife. For: “My kingdom (said Jesus) is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but ‘now is my kingdom not from hence.” JOHN 18:36. What would it take for those who say they are Christians to understand those words spoken by “the Saviour of the world,” Jesus the Christ? In fact, this is the first time in our political history that there was so much bitterness, violent conflicts, struggles, and rivalry among the Christians and those who are not Christians. Hence, many family members and friends are not speaking to each other and Satan and his demons are rejoicing. I can see him now; can’t you see him friend? Friends; Satan is no ‘dummy’ he knows that ‘time is indeed running out! He also knows that: “He that loveth not [his] brother/sister abideth in death. Whosoever ‘hateth his brother/sister is a murderer:’ and ye know that ‘no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.” 1 JOHN 3:14, 15. Sobering Words! What is even more sobering is what our newly elected Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Hubert A. Ingraham said on Saturday night passed at the FNM Victory Celebration. Friends, now I’m beginning to understand more and more why God’s children should stay out of politics, based to some of the things that were said. Before Mr. Ingraham took to the platform, a ZNS TV commentator along with Mr. Henry Boswick made comments among themselves. Mr. Boswick said: “…I don’t believe you will see the ‘pit-bull’ tonight…” To that statement, the ZNS TV commentator said: “…I though the ‘pit-bull’ is all but dead…” for after all, on the campaign trail Mr. Ingraham said he was a change man, and, he did a good job showing this all through the many rallies the FNM held. But, when he took to the platform to speak to the tens of thousands of supporters who attended victory rally on Clifford Park he was a diffrent person, or should I say, the old Mr. Hubert Ingraham came out. Yet, he did not catch me off-guard! For the Lord; had already told me that Mr. Ingraham would come to rule with an ‘Iron fist!’ He said many things, but there’s one that stood-out in my mind, it is when he said: “They (the PLP) [also] had a radio talk show host, who I assume you heard for the last time last week. I assume that she (Phillipa ‘lady’ Russell) and Steve Mckinney will find their own ZNS” he said. At the end of his statement, there was a thunderous applause by the FNM supportes. Then, moments later Mr. Ingraham said: “Let’s move, ladies and gentlemen towards a government dedicated to ‘serving all Bahamians.’ Let us work together in: having ‘tolerance for others;’ taking care of those who have been ‘victimized,’ those who got a bad deal with those government houses, those who have been ‘unfairly treated,’ those who have been ‘wronged” he said. Does that also apply to, Phillipa ‘lady’ Russell and Steve Mckinney, I suppose not. Only time will tell. At the end of the speech Mr. Boswick said: “I told you; the ‘PIT-BULL’ wasn’t dead!” Friends, join me in prayer for our Prime Minister, I believe he wants to do what’s good for our Bahama land. For, the Bible is filled with story, of those who were not humble, and the God of heaven had to ‘HUMBLE’ them in ‘RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION!’ We are living to close to the end of time, for us to be playing around with ‘child’s-play!’ The time is here, and the time is now, that all Bahamians: “Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” ROMANS 12:21. “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let ‘every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:’ For the ‘wrath of man worketh’ not the ‘righteousness of God.” JAMES 1:19, 20. My fellow Bahamians; the CHOICE is ours!
