Last week, there were four major questions put to us, and the answer we gave to each these questions would have said what we believe about the “GOOD NEWS” of the gospel of “JESUS CHRIST”. It is said, the word “Gospel” means “GOOD NEWS” but do we truly believe that? NO! If we did, we would not say “YES!” when we are asked: “Is it easy to Sin?” Last week we were also asked…where in the “bible” can the text be found, which says “it is easy to sin?” In other words, if you were asked to speak on the topic: “it is easy to sin” you would not be able to use the bible, to do so! But if you were asked to speak on the topic: “Why do people sin?” The bible gives many reasons why people sin, but the bible would also say that when they committed sin, it wasn’t easy. For example, the bible says: “the way of transgressors {sinner} [is] hard”. PROVERBS 13:15. So what does it mean to be a transgressor? The bible gives us the answers: Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 1 JOHN 3:4. The bible also tells us that after Eve sinned the LORD said to the Serpent {Satan}: “I [the LORD] will put enmity [or hatred] between thee [Satan] and the woman, [Eve] and between thy seed [Satan] and her seed [Eve]”. GENESIS 3:14,15. Isn’t that GOOD NEWS? Our LORD put enmity, or hatred for Sin in the Woman [Eve], and we are told that: “God is no respecter of persons” and what HE did for Eve, HE also did for US! Then we have the example of Saul who later became the apostle Paul when he was going around killing the people of GOD, and GOD asked him, Saul: why persecutest thou me? And he [Saul] said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: [it is] “HARD” [not easy] for thee [Saul] to kick against the pricks. Acts 9:1-5. And that’s how it is, with each of us when we begin to partake in any Sin, the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD will prick us, telling us not to go on! This is why the bible says: “All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven… but the blasphemy [against] the [Holy] Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men” MATTHEW 12:31. Today, can’t you hear JESUS saying to each of us; “Grieve not, or, hurt not, the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD”?
