THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO OTHER MEN’S OPINION
Dear Sir:
The Christian Historian, is not being true to his or her names, firstly; a Christian is one who says, they will always walk in the steps of JESUS CHRIST, and that’s true, because, the bible tells us: “For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth” 1 PETER 2:21,22. The bible also tells us: And he (JESUS) came to Nazareth, where HE had been brought up: and, as his (JESUS) custom was, he (JESUS) went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. LUKE 4:16. So, if the Christian Historian wants to be honest, he or she will show from the bible where CHRIST change the Sabbath; from Saturday the 7th day to Sunday the 1st day. The Christian Historian said: “Moreover, in a court of law a person swears to state the truth, the WHOLE truth, and nothing but the truth. Why? Because a half truth can be a whole lie!”. To that, I say amen and amen. So why don’t the Christian Historian write the WHOLE truth, either the Historian don’t know or the Historian is truly fulfilling what JESUS said: “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many”. MATTHEW 24:11. Is that what the Christian Historian is a “FALSE PROHET” I hope not, so I will give the Historian the benefit of doubt, in that the Historian is ignorance of the facts? Secondly, a Historian is: “a student of or expert in history”, and one who gives a true “account of historical events”. So did the Historian do this? NO! So what doses the Church say about Sunday worship? If you should get a hold of; The Convert’s Catechism of Catholic doctrine, this is what you would find: Question: “Which is the Sabbath day”? Answer: “Saturday is the Sabbath day”. Question: “Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday”? Answer: “We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday”. By “REV” Peter Geiermann, C.SS.R. (P.50). Then in May 21,1995, in the St. Catherine Catholic Church-Sentinel-Vol.50,Num.22;You will read: “Perhaps the boldest thing, the most revolutionary change the Church ever did, happened in the first century. The holy day, the Sabbath, was changed from Saturday to Sunday. "The Day of the Lord" (dies Dominica) was chosen, not from any directions noted in the Scriptures, but from the Church's sense of its own power. The day of resurrection, the day of Pentecost, fifty days later, came on the first day of the week. So this would be the new Sabbath. People who think that the Scriptures should be the sole authority, should logically become 7th Day Adventists, and keep Saturday holy”. Fr. Leo Broderick. You can read this on line @ http://www.aloha.net/~mikesch/st-cath.htm. I thank GOD, for Honest Church Leaders who will write the truth, so that, GOD’S people will know the truth, about how Sunday became the day of worship. Amen! The Historian said: As for the attacks by Blossom Valleray on 95 percent of Christians- Anglicans, A.M.E., Assemblies of God, Baptist, Brethren, Catholics, Church of God, Congregationalists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Salvation army, and other who observe Sunday as the Sabbath. Consequently, she is denouncing the majority of Christians based on her limited knowledge of the bible and church history. Well, this is the second artical written by the Christian Historian, and up to this point, I haven’t seen one bible text, or an historical fact, to show that Blossom Valleray is wrong about 7th day Sabbath still being Saturday and not Sunday. Most of the churches have in their records that Saturday is the Sabbath, but they still keep Sunday, the question is, WHY? Today, my heart goes out to the Christian Historian, and to all those who are following the gospel according to other men’s opinion, in other words, tradition, and not “every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God”, God Bless you all.
