It was the year 1978, when I turned my back on the Saviour of all men, and said to myself, I am going to run my life…. and no one was going to tell me…. what to do! I was going to do it my way and who didn’t like it, that’s their business. But after running from the Lovely Saviour for 13 years, I found out that I couldn’t out-run the Saviour, and The 13 years of running came to an end. You may be asking; how did the running, came to an end? I was at the sports center racing motor bikes with my friends, when the Saviour invited me back to church through a girl friend. Going back to church was the TURNING POINT in my life, and the end-of “I AM GOING TO RUN MY LIFE” and the “DO IT MY WAY” kind-of ATTITUDE. What I quickly found out was: “I was bought with a price and I belong-to JESUS CHRIST” and I was not my own, but HIS. 1 CORINTHIANS 6:19,20. IN 1991 I also found out, after all the parties, Junkanoo’s, dancing, movies, worldly music, fairs, trips, hanging-out with the girls and boys, cars, motor bikes, happy hours, goombay summers, NBA games, Foot Ball games, Tack and Field games, bike, car and boat racing, all of this was doing me no good, but I though this was living the life. And today, how many young and old are doing the same, trying to find happiness in these things listed above. Today I say to you like JESUS told me 14 years ago, there will be no peace in your life until you let the King of peace, take first place in your life. Right now, today, JESUS says to you like HE said to me: “My son, [My daughter] give me Your heart”. PROVERBS 23:26. And: “A new heart also will Jesus give you, and a new spirit will Jesus put within you: and Jesus will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and Jesus will give you an heart of flesh”. EZEKIEL 36:26. Isn’t that Good News, the Lovely JESUS will give you a New Heart, so the: “Things You once loved, You now hate; and the things You once hated, You now love”. And when your friends don’t see you hanging out any more, they will ask; how come we don’t see you any more? You will answer; I have given my life to JESUS: “I must Now be about my Father's business! LUKE 2:49. So Let JESUS take over, hate sin, but love the Sinner!!!
