Since there are “So Many Voices,” each seeking to get our attention, we must, we better be, always, in the SPIRIT of the LORD, for not to be could cause US to lose-out, on eternal life! Monday, September 11, 2006 marked 5 years that the ‘World Trade Center’ was destroyed! Better known as; the Twin Towers! Not only were Towers destroyed; but a plane also struck the Pentagon and another crashed after the passengers battled with the terrorists and eventually brought the plane down in Shanksville, Pa. When it was all over, 2,749 of our brothers and sisters lost their lives! Soon after these 3 major events, there were, and still are questions on every side. One question that was asked by many was; “where was GOD?” GOD… Yes GOD? He was, and still is, sitting on the: “…right hand of God… (Interceeding) for US.” ROMANS 8:34. Friends; these were, and still are, one of the saddest, and most talked about days, in Americas history! Sad because; the worlds only “Super Power” was under attack! And this was No-Dream, neither was this, a movie from Hollywood, this was, real life! What made it so real? The world watched, as planes were flown into the Twin Towers! But, how could this be? Did not GOD send messages of warning? Did GOD turn HIS back on America? NO friends! For the Bible says: “Surely the Lord GOD ‘will do nothing,’ but HE ‘revealeth his secret’ unto his ‘servants the prophets.” AMOS 3:7. Well, in 1909, Ellen G. White was shown what would take place in New York City, she wrote: “On one occasion, when in New York City, I was in the night season called upon to behold buildings rising story after story toward heaven. These buildings were warranted to be fireproof, and they were erected to glorify the owners and builders.” She said. “Higher and still higher these buildings rose, and in them the most costly material was used. Those to whom these buildings belonged were not asking themselves: "How can we best glorify God?" The Lord was not in their thoughts.” She said. “The scene that next passed before (Her) was an alarm of fire. Men looked at the lofty and supposedly fireproof buildings and said: "They are perfectly safe." But these buildings (She said) were consumed as if made of pitch. The fire engines could do nothing to stay the destruction. The firemen were unable to operate the engines.” Testimonies for the Church Vol.9 Pgs. 12, 13. Was she right friends? If you were to take the time to examine each point, you would see, that only the LORD could have shown her what was to take place! To find out more about, Ellen G. Why did it happen? Did the LORD turn his back on HIS children? NO friends! For the Bible says: “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 PETER 3:9. So what went wrong Friends? The LORD had sent the Captain and the crew of the Titanic; messages of warning, that iceberg were ahead. But, when the final warning message was sent from another ship, the Californian, saying iceberg is ahead, Phillips said: “Shut up! Shut up! I am busy.” In other words; who cares! For the Newspapers of that day called the Titanic: “the wonder ship” “the last word in luxury” and “the millionaires’ special.” Like the “Twin Towers,” the “Titanic” designer used some of the most advanced technology available at the time and the ship was popularly believed to be “unsinkable.” And when it did; It was a great shock, for, despite the advanced technology and experienced crew, the Titanic sank with a great loss of life.When it was all over, the more than $10 million dollars ship was on the bottom of the sea, and 1,523 were dead! Some witnesses said the final song played by the band was the hymn: “Nearer, My God, to Thee.” Now, those that died in the 9/11 attacks, and the Titanic, are awaiting the ‘resurrection.’ If ‘WE’ were among those that died, would we have been ready to breathe our last breath? For when the LORD awake all the dead out of their sleep, they will arise too live forever, or, rise to be lost, forever!!!
