We are living in the midst of an “Epidemic of Crime!” But, based on some of the FILTHY THINGS that we allow to take place in our land, I don’t think, we believe this to be the case! For if we did, we would be calling for a ceasefire; to all FILTHINESS! We are also living in a time when many; have buried their head in the sand! Nevertheless, the “Fast-Spreading-Crime-Disease” goes on, and Pastors, Government Leaders, The Police Department, The Prison Department, and all other Law Enforcement Officers, Talk Show Host, and The Bahamian People are all asking; what needs to be put in place to stop this high outbreak of Crime? In fact; “Crime Is Developing So Rapidly” many are in a state of speechlessness, fearfulness, and dreadfulness! It’s so bad, that even God-fearing men and women are left horrified! Hence, many Christians are overcome with shock and dismay, just like the heathens; and I wonder why? “For God (said Timothy) hath not given US the ‘spirit of fear;’ but of ‘power,’ and of ‘love,’ and of a ‘sound mind.” 2 TIMOTHY 1:7. As a matter of fact, being fearful about what’s taking place will-not change a-thing my friend, for everyday our world brings fresh revelations of political strife, bribery, and fraud, while you are fearful; RIGHT? It also brings new heart-sickening record of violence and lawlessness, of indifference to human suffering, of brutal and wicked destruction of human life; RIGHT? Moreover, everyday testifies to the increase of insanity, murder, and suicide; RIGHT? Without a doubt my friend, satanic agencies are at work among men, women boys and girls with increasing activity to distract and corrupt the mind, defiling and destroy the body; RIGHT? The corruption that prevails, it is beyond the power of the human pen to describe; RIGHT? So then; why are you fearful my friend? WHY? Therefore stated Jesus: “…‘fear not them’ which ‘kill the body,’ but are not able to ‘kill the soul:’ but rather ‘fear him (Jesus)’ which is able to ‘destroy both soul and body in hell.” MATTHEW 10:28. Surly, truly and sadly God knows about every conceivable crime that is being committed. But still He says, be not fearful! In fact, God knows that every round of crime and men’s folly goes higher and still higher to the point many do-not sense the sting of death is upon them, and at the end of time they will be without God and without the hope of eternal life! What a sad commentary! But can’t God stop these things from taking place? Oh yes! But God will never force anyone to follow Him; or His ways! In fact, there are many, who act as though there were no God! Therefore, they are absorbed in selfish pursuits, who will soon experience sudden destruction, “…and they shall not escape…” 1 THESSALONIANS 5:3. The signs of the end are upon US, but sad to say, many continue to be careless in self gratification, and are becoming so disgusted with life that they kill themselves. Dancing and carousing, drinking and smoking, indulging their animal passions, are the order of the day and night. Hence, Satan is working swiftly with all his art and enchantments to keep men marching blindly onward until the Lord arises out of His place to punish the inhabitants of earth for their iniquities, and: “BEHOLD! (stated Isaiah,) the LORD cometh out of his place to ‘punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity:’ the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” ISAIAH 26:21. Joyously life goes on for many, as they march towards the “…second death…” REVELATION 20:14. Surly, the Bahamas is full of rioting; full of godless pleasure, and asleep, asleep in carnal security. Hence, WE are putting afar off the coming of the Lord, by our actions. But can WE? No my friend, for when the time come for Jesus to come, He will! Still, there are some who will read about the warning signs which are taking place, and they will ‘laugh’ at it all. Proudly boasting that: “All things continue as they were from the beginning.” “Tomorrow (they say) shall be as this day, and much more abundant.” 2 PETER 3:4; ISAIAH 56:12. For this cause; many are going deeper into pleasure loving. These are the ones that paid no attention to the entire “Epidemic of Crime!” It’s business as usual! To such ones; Christ says: “BEHOLD! I come as a thief.” REVELATION 16:15. When the scorner, the rejecter of truth, has become presumptuous; when the routine of work in the various money-making lines is carried on without regard to principle; when the student is eagerly seeking knowledge of everything but; his Bible! What’s even more ‘Sobering’ is; many Ministers of the gospel are ‘bewailed’ by this “Epidemic of Crime!” What’s the reason? The ‘Bible’ is no-longer their guide! Hence, the BIBLE is not being used: to tell US it will get worse and worse; not better! Are you ready for the coming of the Lord? Better yet; are you ready to meet your Maker?
