A few weeks ago, I read an article in an ‘Adventist World’ magazine called; “The Return of Jesus: Is It Still On?” Friends, based on the way many of US are conducting our-lives, it does not appear; TO-BE-ON! Especially is this being portrayed among the Christian Church. For many are guilty of just: “Having a form of godliness, but (they are truly/sadly) denying the power…” of God. 2 TIMOTHY 3:5. These are the ones that fit the saying: LOOKS; are DECEIVING! But soon, Jesus will say to such ones: “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with [their] lips; but their heart is far from me. But in ‘VAIN’ they do ‘worship me,’ (says Jesus? For they were) ‘teaching’ [for] ‘doctrines’ the ‘commandments of men.” MATTHEW 15:8, 9. How sad! Friends, it is written not once but twice, that: “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man/woman, but the END thereof [are] the ‘ways of death.” PROVERBS 14:12; 16:25. Then, there are many weary Christians who once rejoiced in the soon return of Jesus, who have jumped-ship, and now, they are sailing on Satan’s ship. How’s this? When they were forewarned by the apostle Paul, when he said: “But ye, brethren, be not ‘WEARY’ IN ‘WELL DOING.” Are you also WEARY my friend? Don’t be: “For soon; Jesus shall return!” “Wherefore (said Paul) seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let ‘us lay aside every weight, and the SIN’ which doth so ‘easily beset [us],’ and let us run with ‘patience’ the race that is set before us.” How? By: “Looking unto Jesus the ‘author and finisher’ of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. HEBREWS 12:1, 2. In other words: “Being confident of this very thing, that HE/JESUS which hath begun a good work in you (and I) will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ” return. PHILIPPIANS 1:6. What a wonderful promise, my Friend, that He/Jesus will finish what He has started, and, we might as well let Him do it, Amen! Friends, there will be many at the end that will be lost because they paid no attention to the words spoken by John, when he said: “Love not the world, neither the things [that are] in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 1 JOHN 2:15-17. Yes, these world loving, fleshly lusts, lustful eyes and life’s pride ones, will make-up: “…the number of (the lost, which) [is] as the sand of the sea…” REVELATION 20: 8. Therefore, the journey “From Earth to Heaven,” and “The Return of Jesus; is Still On!” Hence, you and I must be ready for the coming of our Lord and Saviour; Jesus Christ! Friends, there is no doubt in my mind that time is indeed running out, and many are of the same mind-set as that of the population who lived on the earth before the Flood. Back then, Noah preached for hundred and twenty years, and only eight souls believed and obeyed God’s word that was preached through Noah! This preacher of righteousness, named Noah, warned the world of the coming destruction, but his message was rejected and despised. And 6000 years later, that’s the way it is now! History, my friend, is repeating it self! Hence, the Lawgiver/God is still sending messages of warning to the disobedient, and the transgressors of His Law, warning them and telling them, to repent and to return their allegiances too Him. But, the majority of these warnings are being sent in vain! WHY? “There shall come (say Peter) in the last day’s scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning.” 2 PETER 3:3, 4. Not only are the ungodly saying this, but many who occupy the pulpits of the world. For with lying tongues they say: “there is no cause for alarm.” In fact: “Before Christ shall come, the entire world is to be converted, and righteousness is to reign for a thousand years, on the earth. Then there will be Peace, wonderful peace! And soon all things will continue as they were from the beginning. So, let none be disturbed by the message of these ‘alarmists!” they say. But my friend, this doctrine of the millennium does not harmonize with the teachings of Christ. For Jesus asked the significant question: “When the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?” LUKE 18:8. In closing, let’s not forget that Jesus declares that the state of the world will be as it was in the days of Noah. “The Return of Jesus: Is It Still On?” Yes! A Thousand times Yes!
