As I bring the topic; “The Liquor-Sellers” and “The Law-Makers” to a close, I wonder if these two groups are ready to confesses, that surely, or, truly-truly, the evil of ‘ALCOHOL-USES’ has caused ‘US,’ much grief. But before I bring this sad, and heart wrenching story to an-end, I would like to share a very-sad testimony with you, about one of our former Police Force Officers, who is now finds himself addicted to alcohol. I asked this former Policeman; when, and why did he begin drinking alcohol? He said: “when my father was found shot to death, I took my father’s death very hard, and it was based on this that I turned to the drinking of alcohol!” “I found myself drinking so much alcohol that, at the end of the month, all of my pay check went to pay for all of the alcohol that I was able to get, on credit,” he said!” The sad reality is friends, he’s not alone! Today, won’t you pray with me for this former Policeman, and many others like him, that they will allow the power GOD to rest upon them, before it’s a day to late? Friends, it is stories like that which makes me long to see the day, when our local news team, do a real life storey on someone, who had all of what life has to offer, on this side of heaven, and all because of the availability of alcohol, they are today, with-out anything! Or better yet, a real life story based on kids, who are today fatherless and motherless, all because their parents drank to much alcohol. Maybe, if a team of our well paid Doctors were to speak, and show some pictures of the body parts that were destroyed by alcohol drinking, maybe, just maybe, these “Liquor-Sellers” and “Law-Makers” will see the need to shut down these evil alcohol companies. What makes this EVIL, so deep and sad is what Commonwealth Brewery Limited says in their “Human Resource Policies Manual.” For example, Policy No.: 7.2, Subject: Alcohol Abuse –General, under ‘Definition’ it says: “Employees shall not be involved with misuse or abuse of alcohol in any manner that may impair their ability to perform assigned duties or otherwise adversely affect the company’s business.” “An employee that consumes alcohol during working hours will be subject to discipline under the company’s Industrial Agreement as stipulated.” “Alcohol abuse off-the-job that could adversely affect an employee’s job performance or that could jeopardize the safety of other employees, the public, company equipment, or the company’s relation with the public will not be tolerated.” In the “Special Action” part of the policy it says: “An employee who is suspected of on-the-job intoxication may be subject to an unannounced Breathalyzer test or similar scientific method to determine the actual status of employee. Refusal to participate in the required test will result in immediate removal from service and may result in dismissal.” Well friends, if a company that makes, and sells drinks that are forbidden by the word of GOD can be so clear on it policies, how much more should GOD be with those who rejects HIS counsel when HE said: “If any man (or woman) defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] ye are.” 1 CORINTHIANS 3:17. If our temple, which is our GOD given bodies, is filled with alcohol, can we truly say our temple are holy? But wait, there’s yet one more sobering fact we need to look at, before we bring this to a close! There are a group of men and women who are in charge of our National Security, which is headed by our Deputy Prime Minister; HON Cynthia Pratt. They are known as our Police Officers, Defence Force Officers and Prison Officers. Should not these men and women, who have such a great reasonability, also be charged to live an Alcohol-Free, lifestyle? Yes, Friends! For Dr. David Allen said: “the problem with alcohol consumption is that, it causes one to lose his or her inhibitions (self-conscious).” If that is true friends, when these Officers report for duty, they should be given a Breathalyzer test to see if they are intoxicated? If they can’t be tested for Alcohol or Drugs when they report for duty, they shouldn’t be given, a service revolver, a shot gun, a machine gun or any type of gun. For to do so, would not be wise! Today’s Ministers of the gospel, need to tell the government to close down these evil RUM making, and RUM selling companies, NOW! Will the Ministers do it?
