To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them. ISAIAH 8:20.
Last week, the GOD of Heaven had asked us as a nation to repent; the question is; did we? Or maybe we don’t know what the meaning of repentance is. Surely if we did, this nation would be on one-accord. Ministers are on the talk shows from time to time saying, this is a Christian nation. But A Christian nation is one, which will do what the bible says. For the bible says: “For even hereunto were we called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did NO SIN neither was Guile found in his mouth” 1 PETER 2:21,22. The apostle Peter said, JESUS is our example; can we honestly say that we are walking in JESUS step? Today most of us are following our Pastors, and not JESUS. The sad part about this is some of you know that your Pastor is going the wrong way, and doing things that the bible forbids, and what are you doing? Instead of saying: “I can-not do this great wickedness, and sin against God”, you tag right along with the Pastor and Sin also. GENESIS 39:9. Then there are some of you who don’t know, that you are following the ministers; In Sin, because you don’t know, what SIN IS! But don’t feel bad, I have met Ministers and Christians who don’t even know WHAT SIN IS! So what is Sin? “Whosoever committeth Sin transgresseth also the law: for Sin is the transgression of the law”. 1 JOHN 3:4. Who’s responsible for this? Firstly the parents, the bible tells us: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children”. HOSEA 4:6. So not only will the Parents be lost, but also their Children. Secondly, the Ministers of the gospel; Why? They will not tell the nation or their church members what Sin is, because if they do, they too will show that they are guilty of breaking GOD’S Law, and then we will know that these ministers are liars. Today more than 90% of the ministers of the Bahamas stand guilty teaching Bahamians to break GOD’S Law. Which law? The fourth commandment, which says: “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day [is] the Sabbath of the LORD thy God”. EXODUS 20:8-11. But not only are the ministers guilty, but also their members. Why is it this way? Ministers and members have forgotten, the bible said: “And hereby we do know that we know JESUS, if we keep GOD’S commandments. He that saith, I know JESUS, and keepeth not GOD’S commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him”.1JOHN 2:3,4. So here we are, over 2000 years after the cross, and ministers and church members are doing, just what the bible says, don’t do. Some time I think we forget that the bible said: “The wages of sin [is] death”. Not Sins! But Sin! ROMANS 6:23. One sin, that’s all it takes for you and I to be lost at the end of time, and the devil knows it, that’s why he’s doing everything in his power for you and I to keep on sinning. There are three things that the devil is using in the churches to destroy GOD’S people: sight, sound and feelings. But the bible tells us: The just shall live by faith. ROMANS 1:17. This is why the bible said: So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. ROMANS 10:17. If JESUS was to come today; and ask you where in the bible did HE make Sunday Holy; what will you tell JESUS? But you say: If Sunday was so wrong, I wouldn’t be so bless. Have you not read: GOD maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. MATTHEW 5:45. This is why the bible tells us: “To him that overcometh”. REVELATION 3:21 Overcome what you may ask? SIN! And if we don’t overcome SIN we will still be standing here when the fire falls from heaven.
