With over 4000 churches in the Bahamas, One should stop and asks; what’s causing our Island to float in “A Cesspool of Sin?” In fact, this waste matter STINKS! Friends, this is indeed a matter for serious thought! For this ‘sinful-waste’ has touched every fiber of our Families, Churches, Governments, and Schools and its all through the rank and file of our Island. Hence, there are voice’s asking, what are we going to do with our high level of ‘sinful-waste?’ Two things are certain my friend, getting angry, will only make matters worse. Secondly, this waste, is here to stay, for we have created this ‘sinful-waste’ ourselves, and even if it could be sold, no-one would buy it! This ‘sinful-war within;’ is a war which will be with us right to the end of earths history. Therefore, says Apostle Paul: “Be not ‘overcome of evil,’ but ‘overcome evil with good.” In other words: “…if thine enemy hunger (says Paul,) feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. For: “…Vengeance [is] mine; saith the Lord I will repay…” ROMAN 12:19-21. April 1, 2007 marked 92 days into the New Year, and already, our murder count is at 24, and if the angels of the Lord does not stand around us, this 24 maybe 25, 26, or even 27 by the time this article makes the paper, God help us all. What makes this ‘war within our boarders’ such a sobering reality is, fathers and mothers are burying their children, when their children should be burying them. But, how can this be? When the Bible says: “Honour thy father and thy mother: (children,) that thy days may be long (not short) upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.” EXODUS 20:12. Did the God of the universe lie? No friends! For it is written: “…God cannot lie…” TITUS 1:2. So what’s the problem? We have sow to the wind my friend, and now we are reaping, the whirlwind! Yes, we have trampled under foot, “The Commandments of God,” and as a result, things are ‘changing swiftly,’ and ‘very destructive’ things are taking place, in our land. Transgression, my friends, has almost reached its limit; therefore, confusion fills not only our Island, but the world-over. Still, many are planning to live a good life in this wicked world, because the second coming of Jesus is not in their minds, but, the end of all things are at hand, and soon, ‘the Judgment; will be over.’ Then we will hear these solemn words: “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” REVELATION 22:11, 12. Surly, the words penned and spoken by the Psalmist David are being fulfill today, which says: “[It is] TIME for [thee], LORD, TO WORK: [for] THEY have made ‘VOID THY LAW.” PSALMS 119:126. Today, if any of US stand guilty making ‘VOID GOD’S LAW’ in any which way we are the cause for what’s taking place in our land, and we need to REPENT! Then, like David we could pray, Lord: “Open Thou mine eyes, that ‘I may behold wondrous things out of Thy LAW, then God’s divine daily enlightenment would be ours. PSALMS 119:18. Yes friends, God will have a people upon the earth who will vindicate His honor by having respect to all of His commandments; for they know that His commandments are not grievous, and they are not yokes of bondage. In fact, when empowered by Jesus to keep His Commandments, we are freed from a life which is filled with ‘Sin’s bondage!’ Hence, we are told by: “Peter and the [other] apostles… that …We ought to obey God rather than men.” ACTS 5:29. For in that day when Jesus shall return He will say: “But in ‘vain they do worship me,’ teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men.” But none, who have had the light of truth will enter the city of God as commandment-breakers. God’s law lies at the foundation of His government in earth and in heaven, and if we knowingly trampled upon and despised God’s law on the earth, WE will not be taken to heaven to do the same work there; for there is no change to our character when Christ comes. Hence, day by day OUR ACTIONS are registered in the books of heaven. So, if God were to show the world our SINS, what would they see on His big screen TV? We are living in an important and interesting period of earth's history. We need more faith than we have yet had; we need a firmer hold from the ONE ABOVE!
