THE CHURCH; SPIRITUAL or FUNKY? PT.1

From the day I was first impressed by our LORD, to write on this topic “The Church; Spiritual or Funky?” I have been asking people from all walks of life, is “The Church; Spiritual or Funky?” All thus far have said, “The Church is; Funky!” And if JESUS was walking among men today, HE to would say; Funky, goes the Church! How’s that you ask? Well, JESUS said: “Ye are the light of the world.” MATTHEW 5:14 In other words, just how the boat captains depend on the lighthouse, shining out in the darkness, guides the ship safely to the harbor; JESUS wants HIS Church and HIS children to be the light to all that they come in-contact with. But are the Christians being the light, to all the dark parts of this earth? The Apostle Paul wrote: “We are our epistle (letter) written in our hearts, known and read of all men” 2 CORINTHIANS 3:2. When those who are not Christians, read our lifestyle, what are they reading about our so-call, Christian conduct? When the non-Christian sees the Church doing; the electric sided dance, break dancing, reggae dancing, clown painted faces, spinning on our hands, flashing disco lights, disco smoke; smoking up the church, moon walk dance, dance conference, miss gospel Bahamas, ‘religious’ comedy tour, ‘Christian’ Junkanoo rush-out, and many more so-call spiritual acts, what are they saying about the church? And if that wasn’t enough, the church say they are skipping, dancing and praising the lord. Saying, make some Holy Ghost crazy noises up in here. Singing songs like, this is a ‘Holy Ghost church,’ ‘we need love, we need peace,’ ‘dance for Jesus.’ So bold are we that, the songs we once used to sing when we where in the world, are now being rewritten to sing in Churches today. Christian friends, can we truly say that these things listed above are guiding men to Christ and the heavenly home? “Friends, may I remind you, that it is an easy matter to idle away, talk and play away, the Holy Spirit's influence.” For the Bible tell us: “And we are his witnesses of these things;” (which things? The death and resurrection of JESUS) and [so is] also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.” ACTS 5:32. Will the Holy Ghost lead us to partake in those things listed above? I think not! For to walk in the light is to keep moving onward in the direction of light, and that LIGHT is CHRIST! This is why the Bible said: “For even hereunto were WE called: because Christ also suffered for US, leaving US an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth.” 1 PETER 2:21, 22. The problem is; we don’t want to sufferer. We don’t want to walk; like JESUS walked. Some Pastors on the record saying; JESUS steps are out-dated, and for this, these Pastors are saying we need new ways to reach our youth. Another Pastor is on the record saying, not every-time he speaks he has to use his Bible. Where did he get this idea from? I believe he got it from the senior Pastor of the church, where he’s the youth Pastor, because the senior Pastor has the same kind of attitude, when it comes to the Bible. Now these two Pastors are leading the way in destroying; our young people. These Pastors have become so comfortable with telling lies, they dear-not, they will not, they can-not “Preach the word” because if they do, they will expose themselves to the church membership and the world at-large, as being liars. These lying Pastors, are Devils sent. For the Bible tells us: “they are of their father the devil, and the lusts of (their) father (they) will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of liars.” JOHN 8:44. This is why JESUS said: “For by (our) words (we) shalt be justified, and by (our) words (we) shalt be condemned.” MATTHEW 12:37. Christian friends we have we aloud the worldly acts into the church, and these acts has overturned, the church! If you don’t believe this to be true, then let’s go back in time! And ask yourself this question; are not the church and the world running side by side when it comes to, the statistics? The numbers are the same! This is why GOD said; our conversation and our actions must be holy!!! But are they???
