TURNING POINT MINISTRIES

Today, the question that continues, is “The Church; Spiritual or Funky?” And if we are led by the SPIRIT of GOD, the Churches of today are indeed more “Funky; than Spiritual!” What’s the cause? The Bible tells us: “For the leaders of this people cause [them] to err (sin); and [they that are] led of them [are] destroyed.” ISAIAH 9:16. In other words, as it was in the days of the Prophet Isaiah, so it is today. But we shouldn’t be surprised! For JESUS said this is one of the signs of the end of the world, when HE said: “Take heed that no man (or woman) deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” MATTHEW 24:4, 5. The saddest part about those words are it is are our young adults, boys and girls, who are being deceived and destroyed, Not with drugs and alcohol, but by the type of things they are being allowed to “do” by Church leaders and parents. Today we look at some of the things, these so-call Christian leaders are teaching and allowing our kids to-do. First; let me say that if Ministers of the gospel can be bold to say and do what the think is right, they should be able to read and hear why many say the things they are teaching and doing are not right! Last week, I came across a flyer by Minister L. Terez Davis, which said ‘Services offered by Dynamite Productions’ one of them said: ‘Drama Workshops & Seminars for Youth and Adults” another said: ‘Stand-up Christian Comedy.’ Haven’t the Ministers read what JESUS said: “But I say unto you, {Minister L. Terez Davis} that every idle word that (you) shall speak, (you) shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment.” MATTHEW 12:36. When Minister Davis, teaches the drama classes and the part calls for one to play drunk or even to be a thief, who’s empowering that person to play the part; GOD or Satan? Surly; Minister Davis has forgotten her GOD given mandate like so many others Ministers which is to: “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” And because of this; she too, is: “…not endure sound doctrine…” anymore. 2 TIMOTHY 4:2, 3. But Minister Davis is not alone. There’s also Pastor Dave Burrows, of Bahamas Faith Ministries, better known as BFM. The part He plays at BFM is one where He needs all the guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD, because He’s in charge of the Youth Department of BFM, in other words, He is training the Youth not only to take-over the Church but to one day raise their own Families one day. And based on what I saw with my own eyes and what I heard coming out of his mouth, it doesn’t look, nor sound good. The other day Pastor Burrows was on the Love 97 FM Talk Show, Issues of The Day, with Mr. Wendell Jones, and every question that was put forward to Pastor Burrows by the host, or the caller, He never once used his Bible to answer the questions. As a matter of fact, he said: “First of all you don’t have to use a scripture quote in everything you say, the scriptures are living on the inside of me, I know as much Bible as anybody else” he said. Friends that’s not true, for every time Pastor Burrows or any other person opens his or her mouth if they don’t quote a scripture, the principal better be bible based. This is the same reason we all have a sinful nature. For Eve listened to, and fell, for Satan’s lies. What was that lie: God commanded Adam and Eve not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and if they do, “they shalt surely die.” But Satan came along and said: “Ye shall not surely die.” And today, the lie continues as Satan’s Ministers are saying when one of our love-ones dies, they say our loved-one went to heaven and now they are ‘looking down on us’ and ‘they are in a better place.’ But what dose the Bible say? ‘For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.’ ECCLESIASTES 9:5. The reason why Pastor Burrows was on the show was to talk about, the problems with our young people. Pastor Burrows told Mr. Jones that: ‘we are living in a scary time, and that the Churches are seemly out of touch with what is happening with our young people,’ he also said, ‘what has developed in the country is a negative culture.’ Well, next week I will share with you why I believe, he’s part of this negative culture!!!
